Mariposa Technologies, Inc. (“Mariposa,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) values the privacy of individuals who use the Mariposa website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes the information that we gather from visitors, users, and others who access or use the Services (“Users” or “you”), how we use and disclose such information, and the steps we take to protect such information. By using the Services, you consent to the privacy practices described in this Policy
This Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the Mariposa Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.
Personal Information
While using the Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”). Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, your name, contact information, information about others you may invite to use the Services, and additional information we may ask you to provide. You may provide us with Personal Information when you register for an Account, use the Services, make a purchase on the Services, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. Personal Information will also include any health-related information about yourself or others in your network that you choose to directly or indirectly provide to us.
AI Assistant and Mari Interactions
The Services include an AI Mari that helps you manage caregiving information. When you interact with , we collect and retain the content of your conversations, including any documents, photos, PDFs, or other files you upload to (collectively, “Mari Content”). We retain Mari Content for as long as your account remains active so Mari can recall relevant context from earlier conversations, and we process Mari Content, together with other Personal Information you have provided, using artificial intelligence models — including models operated by third-party service providers under contractual confidentiality and data-use restrictions — in order to generate responses and provide the Services.
If you choose to enable voice input, this feature is off by default and your spoken audio is converted to text by a third-party transcription service so Mari can process your request. That transcript is then treated the same as other Mari Content described above.
Location-Based Data
We may collect and process information about your actual location. We use various technologies to determine location, including IP address, GPS, and other sensors that may, for example, provide Mariposa with information on nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points, and cell towers. Location-based data helps us tailor the Services to improve your user experience, offer location-specific services, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Usage Information
We collect information about how you access and interact with the Services, such as device type, IP address, operating system, browser type, address of a referring website, activity on our website, device ID, access dates and times, and other system activity. We may collect certain information by automated means using technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixels, browser analysis tools, server logs, and mobile identifiers. In many cases the information we collect using cookies and other tools is only used in a non-identifiable manner without reference to Personal Information. For example, we may use information we collect to better understand website traffic patterns and to optimize our users’ experience. In some cases we associate the information we collect using cookies and other technology with your Personal Information.
Third-Party Cookies
Third parties may also use cookies, web beacons, or other devices to collect information when you use the Services. Mariposa does not control any cookies or other data collection tools that may be placed on the Services by a third party, and this Policy does not cover the use of such cookies and/or other data collection tools by any third party. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of such third parties to find out more about the information that may be collected by them and the choices you have regarding the collection, use, and sharing of such information.
